During the last months, our team had the chance to work on something completely different from usual. In 2013 we joined a group of researchers and doctors, and won Future of Health Award from Games for Health Europe. Our idea was to show how new technologies can be used to create applied games for health divulgation. Thanks to the resources provided by Games for Health we started working on this new project: Relive!
Relive is a First Person adventure, set in a near future on planet Mars. The game is divided in Story Mode and Tournament Mode. The Story Mode is a potentially deadly adventure in a hostile environment. Tournament mode is a ready-to-play simulated emergency scene, where the player will face different rescue situations and test directly cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
The purpose of this project is to increase the awareness about this topic and encourage people, especially teenagers and young adults, to take a CPR class and be prepared to intervene in case of need. Relive will be released for free on multiple platforms, providing an useful education tool for families, schools and working environments.
