Postby DIT » Tue May 01, 2012 11:24 am

===ISSUE===
On a Windows PC, after launching Syder Arcade, input is not detected (keyboard nor joypad) and i can't do anything from main menu. I can only exit with ALT-F4.

===STEPS TO CHECK===
Find the "output_log.txt" file in game data folder (Program Files(x86)\STUDIOEVIL\Syder Arcade\SyderArcade_Data\" and open it with notepad. Check the presence of the line:
"<I> Input initialization failed"
If found, follow next step.

===Solution===
This is a know issue with Unity 3D engine on few Windows pcs.
Open the attached zip file. Double click the file "RemoveUnityDirectInput.reg" and answer yes to any confirm dialog.
Restart the game.

===ISSUE===
On some MAC configurations, W and Z keys appear to be swapped.

===Solution===
1 - Quit Syder Arcade.

2 - Check your keyboard layout conguration under:
system preferences > language & text > input sources.

3 - Write down or remember your original keyboard configuration.

4 - Change the keyboard layout to any another keyboard layout.

5 - Type something in a text editor to check that you actually changed the keyboard layout.

6 - Revert your keyboard layout to your original settings (the one form step 2).

7 - Play the game.
